He found it hard to explain to his customers what was entailed in roofing or re-roofing a customer’s property with just pictures and pointing his finger. Steve conceived that it would be much easier to make a sale if he had a 3-dimensional visual device that would allow the customer to further grasp the concept of roofing. The Roof ’n’ Box does just that; the customer can be educated on the specialized trade of roofing which in turn generates more sales.

I started working in the roofing industry years ago as an estimator. I came to the roofing industry with years of experience selling cars and selling Insurance for a major carrier.

As I started selling roofs, and repairs and quickly noticed the similarities. I was selling a product people already had, a product people would enjoy, a product people could alter, a product where I knew who my decision maker was (the homeowner) and a product that served as a solution. So there I was probably like many of you trying to explain to customers the importance of a complete roofing system and found myself trying to explain a valley, hip, fascia, rake or ridge with brochures, videos, drawings using my hands and even taking homeowners outside and pointing at their roof to explain simple features, product placement and terminology. I felt this was not an accurate representation of a $30billion dollar industry.

I invented the ROOFNBOX to act as a 3 dimensional visual aid tool to help explain the roofing process to potential clients; I have successfully used the ROOFNBOX to educate the homeowner, explain basic roofing practices, and product placement. In result I have separated myself from other roofing companies and have closed many more sales.
